Think all canned foam is the same? Well think again! I watched this video recently by Jeff Thorman. He hosts the YouTube channel “Home Renovision DIY”. I saw this video pop up in my feed called “Everything You Need to Know About Spray Foam.” So, naturally, I was intrigued by this. So I watched through this video of course he was showcasing one of our competitor’s products. Near the end of the video he said something really fascinating and I’ll read a quote to you here. He says “I’ll be darned that foam all expanded at the same rate. It kind of ticked me off. I went out to buy these cans to show you guys the difference but apparently there isn’t one. Are they ripping us off telling us that we need 4 different kinds of cans in our toolbox when it’s all the same stuff? This stuff all seems to be the same.”
Now I can’t speak for our competitors of course but let me tell you a little bit about our products. So I want to show you a few of them right now. So here I am showing you a few of the examples of the cured foam. I asked our product manager Kristen to shoot these out about 24 hours ago so it’s cured now. You can really see and feel the difference. Take our Gasket Foam, for example. It’s engineered for air sealing, so it provides this flexible airtight seal. You can see that it’s got kind of a squishy feel to it which is very different than our other types of foam. Even though they all come in a metal can, what’s inside is very different depending on what your application is. This one down here is our Subfloor Adhesive. This formula is very in Selena. This is the only place around the world this formula right here is used. It’s designed to prevent floor squeaks and it cures very different. It comes out looking like a gel. I hope this video shows you that what’s inside of our cans for our Tytan Professional products are all very different. The formulas inside are different. The behavior of the chemicals are different. The intent is different depending on what your job is. Whether you’re framing a house or putting up drywall. The needs are different and the substrates are different, so we’ve created different products to help you be more successful with what you’re doing.
