Hey, welcome to Tytan Professional Videos. I’m James Davoli, the product manager. And today we’re doing our first video series in. Will it seal? What we’re going to look at is our Coat & Seal product, how it is U.V. stable. It’s water tight in water sealing. It’s great for applications on roofs and exterior work.
today what we’re going to do is we’re going to see: will PVC plus OSB seal?
And the reason we’re looking at this is we’re going to give an example of say, it was your roof and you’re trying to seal up around and PVC penetration in your roof. So this might be one of the areas where you would want to use our Tytan professional Coat & Seal. I’m going to go ahead and get the product opened up.
Good thing about this product, you can use it on the roof because it’s UV stable. It’s a hybrid mastic. So it’ll air it. It will adhere to just about any two substrates. When you’re open in the can. All you really need is a Phillips screwdriver or painter’s tool. Once you open it up, inside is going to be a plastic film that keeps it from curing inside the can.
All you need then, is your painter’s brush or trowel or something of that nature, and you can get it. Get some on there. You can see how nice and thick that is. This is the mastic. So it’s not so much of a liquid. It’s very much like a paste. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to adhere and seal this PVC to the OSB.
And then what we’re going to do is we’re going to fill up the PVC with some water and see how well this coating seal actually seals.
Well, coat and seal, seal, PVC, OSB. Here’s some water. We’re going to pour it just in the middle of this PVC right here.
And as you can see, that would have been about it entered to a rain. In that enter to a rain is not penetrating or coming out, which means we have a success. This is our Tytan professional coat and seal. Again, it’s U.V. stable. It’s a hybrid mastic. It can be used on just about any other application in the exterior of your house.
