Hey welcome to TYTAN Professional Videos. I’m James Davoli, the product manager. Welcome to another video series Will It Foam Bond 60? Today we are saying will metal plus concrete Foam Bond 60?
Let’s go ahead and get started. Put on my proper PPE and get the can going. All right. We are at the 30 seconds of shaking. Now, today, you can see we have a steel stud and this is one of our concrete walls that we use for testing here at our training facility. So we’re going to go ahead and just use this as our test today and adhere this metal stud to this concrete wall, try to get an appropriate height.
All right. All right. Okay. We’re coming out about a minute here. It’s holding it in place so far. I’m going to check the tack, this very tacky still. Today is another dry day here in Fort Worth. We’re looking at about mid twenties for relative humidity. So this is another day where for the Foam Bond 60 to skin over. It might take a few minutes, but the adhesion is starting immediately.
Once dispensed from the gun as the foam is curing by absorbing the humidity in the air and releasing CO2 and other chemicals, it will start a permanent bond between this stud and the surface of the stud and the surface of this concrete wall almost fully skinned over at this point. I’m going to go ahead, kind of show you kind of sticking to the glove still.
And that’s because of the very dry atmosphere we have here in Texas. But if you want to speed up the curing process for our Foam Bond 60 and you’re in a dry atmosphere like we are today here in Texas, Fort Worth, the best thing to do is quite literally spritz them the two substrates before you apply our Foam Bond 60.
So if you spritz with water, the concrete wall and the steel stud or your other two substrates and then adhere them using our Foam Bond 60. So the curing process will be much faster. The tack time will be closer to that 60 seconds and then the full cure will be at that 24 hours. So let’s go ahead and test again.
Oh yeah. It’s starting to skin over at this point. Looks like our drywall stud here is getting a little more firm. Definitely feeling a little more firm. I would have to say. This is a success steel stud plus concrete wall thank you like our video put in the comment board what kind of different ideas for building materials you’d like to see us adhere together using our Foam Bond 60.
