Hey, welcome to TYTAN Professional Videos. I’m James Davoli, the project manager. And welcome to another video series of Will It Foam Bond 60. Today we are seeing will glass plus wood Foam Bond 60. Now, today, we wanted to make a comment on something unique about Foam Bond 60 and all of our products, all of our products cure through moisture in the air.
So the more humidity, the faster they cure less humidity, the slower they cure with Foam Bond 60. That plays in a huge effect. But also the weight of the products play a big effect of how fast the curing of Foam Bond 60 will work. So because this pint glass is a decent amount of weight, I’m expecting maybe closer to 2 minutes or so until it is cured enough where the shear strength and tensile strength will hold the glass on the wood by itself.
I think that has been close to 30 seconds or so. Let’s go ahead and get our wood and glass ready. Also, this is our TYTAN mug.
All right. I’m just going to do three about half inch beads right next to each other down a line here in the middle of the wood. Now, today, we are in Fort Worth and it is only 24% humidity outside. So it is very dry air, which means the curing time for this foam bond, 60 might take a little bit longer than the normal minute.
So we’ll take a look here in about a minute or so, see how the tack is by pressing the foam with my finger here. See if it’s completely skinned over. Should be completely skinned over. If it’s not, it might need a little bit more time with tack and then we’ll go from there. We are in, I think about 3 minutes or so.
Again, because of the humidity being super dry here in Fort Worth today and Foam Bond 60 works. This pint glass is a decent amount of weight, as you can see with the inch thick here at the bottom, solid glass and wood. Does glass plus wood work? Yes, it does. Thank you. Please, like and comment on our video. Give us some more ideas about what you want to see.
Can foam bond 60 work with different building materials and we’ll give it a shot. Thank you. And have a great day.
