Hey welcome to TYTAN Professional Videos. I’m James Davoli, the product manager. Today we’re doing another Will It Foam Bond 60? Today we’re seeing will foam board plus brick Foam Bond 60?
One thing I do want to mention today, and I think I’ve mentioned in the past our Foam Bond 60 is solvent free, which makes it able to adhere to the foam board without melting. So what does a solvent do to foam? Well, I’m going to show you. Acetone is a great example of how with a solvent, a foam board will quite literally melt.
So I just sprayed it over here on the corner and you will start to see it, start to discolor a little bit. You can see it starts to make a little bit of a dark shape, so to speak, up here on this top corner. What it’s quite literally doing that solvent is melting the foam board. And that’s not good, especially if you’re trying to use the glue that has a solvent in it.
That’s not a good thing. You’re going to melt the board and it’s not going to have the rate that R-value that you’re looking for and the performance that you’re looking for. So the good thing is our Foam Bond 60 is solvent free. No problems there. It’s been about 30 seconds or so of shaking. I’m going to go ahead and get this foam glued to this brick.
All right. 60 seconds starting.
All right. We’ve been about one minute here. I’m going to go ahead and pick up this brick and the foam. There you have it. Brick plus foam working just fine. And I want to go ahead and point out, you can kind of see how that solvent was melting the foam board. Our Foam Bond 60 is not doing that. It’s having a nice adhesion between the brick and the foam board.
So we have a success: foam plus brick. Please like our video. Make any comment on additional materials. You want to see us glue together. Thank you. And have a great day.
