We got this comment recently asking about where somebody can find their local building code. So, this is a great question! This is something that I recommend to a lot of people. I have contractors from all over the country working on all sorts of different projects with our Tytan Professional products where they call in asking for advice on a specific project one way or another. I always recommend that people refer back to their local building code. Especially if it’s related to where to use our Fire Block foams or something like that. It can be different in all different parts of the country. So, first I recommend you start with your local jurisdiction. A lot of residential building codes in different counties follow the IRC. I recommend you go to your local search engine and type in the city name that you’re in and building code. That usually takes you to your local building department’s website where they have which version of IRC they use. Also, anecdotally, because I’ve had questions too about my local building code and how our products relate to them, I’ve actually had luck by calling some local inspectors and getting an understanding of what they’re enforcing. I’ve found that they are very open to answering such questions. There are some cities as well where you can actually go in and request a meeting with an inspector and they’ll meet with you virtually. Where you can then ask the questions that you have and they will answer them on the spot. So, this was a great comment I appreciate it. Like I always say, refer to your local building code, you will be happy that you did. Please leave any other comments below, thank you!
