TYTAN 100% Silicone Sealant
TYTAN 100% Silicone Sealant is a versatile silicone that remains flexible during construction movements, vibrations, and climate changes. It is extremely resistant to any weathering and even chemicals. It offers long-term protection and will remain the intended shape and size. It is perfect for high-humidity environments since it offers a long-term watertight seal that won’t mold, mildew, discolor, slump, or shrink. It provides a strong seal and bond to most non-porous surfaces so you can be confident that it will seal every project, every time. With TYTAN 100% Silicone Sealant you can Build with Confidence!
Surface area must be fully cured, dry, clean, and free of dust, oil, grease, debris, contaminants, or release agents that could interfere with proper adhesion. It is recommended to perform and evaluate preliminary adhesion and compatibility tests before use. For more information visit the “Try TYTAN” section of TYTAN.com.
Cut nozzle at 45° to desired bead size, insert in caulking gun and apply to desired area. Tool bead with moistened cloth and wipe off excess before it cures. For best results, tool immediately after applying for best adhesion and smooth finish before skinning occurs. Please see the technical specification for acceptable application temperatures and other technical information.
Remove Sealant off gun and all tools before it cures. Use typical solvents such as Mineral Spirits or lacquer thinner (ethyl acetate, acetone) and let dry to prevent any damage. Cured sealant can be removed with sharp tools, using caution.
Acetoxy Silicone is not paintable and may corrode metallic surfaces or surfaces that are not compatible with acetic acid. It may stain, or discolor natural stones due to oil migration from the silicone. It may have residue run down when applied to non-porous panel facades It should not be used on most plastic surfaces.
